Detailed Profile Features / Individual Tool Descriptions

Healing Edge M2 Tool: Our Healing Edge (M) I is a full featured, economically priced instrument. Main combination “head” offers the small radius edge/traditional edge combination of the four most common profiles (convex, concave, prow, hook). The handle has a large radius prow that can be used for deep pressure techniques along with a large radius concavity. Our “M” tool is scaled for medium anatomical targets and moderate (6-12" or 30-60cm) treatment strokes. M1 Tool Dimensions: L 7" x W 1-¼” x ¼” thick.
Healing Edge S2 Tool: The (S) I tool is scaled down for small anatomical targets and short (1-2” or 5-10cm) treatment strokes. This instrument is a joy manipulate in the “pen-hold.” The handle has a large radius “hook” that functions like a mini Trigger Point Tool. S1 Tool Dimensions: L 5-½” x W 1.0" x ¼” thick.
Healing Edge L2 Tool: The AP (L) I gives you the perfect length, weight, and balance for treating Large anatomical targets like Traps, E. Spinae, Glutes, Quads, Hams & Soleus. A trimmed accessory handle gives you the purchase you need for added leverage, without it getting in the way (bumping the table) as you work around anatomy, giving you the flexibility to tilt the bar more vertically on a prone or supine patient. A tendon notch lets you work into the hamstrings origin and insertions or the Achilles without “squashing” them. Finally, the “flat” of our bars are finished so that you can utilize deep and long tissue strokes familiar in Structural Integration/Rolfing ™ or Active Release Technique. ™ L1 Bar Dimensions - L 13-1/2" x W 1" x D 3/8".
Detail Tool: The Detail Tool is a favorite among CHT’s and OT’s who spend a lot of time treating the wrist and hand. The scale of this tool allows palpation and treatment of very small lesions that you will be able to find “hiding” in the transverse ligament of the wrist, the capsule of the 1st Carpometacarpal joint, or the sheath of the flexor digitorum. Also great for highly focused treatment of Medial meniscus, interosseous areas of the foot, interspinous ligaments, or “channeling/flossing” nerve paths involved in radiculopathy. Detail Tool Dimensions - L 6.0" x D 0.5"
Trigger Point Tool: This seemingly simple tool is a joy to use. Designed in the spirit of point tools from the T-Bar to the myriad of massage tools available in therapy catalogs this one is balanced easy to manipulate and offers the benefits of stainless, the most important being the ability to palpate and “feel” tissue topography through the tool. Anywhere or with any technique that a thumb or knuckle was used the Trigger Point tool will offer improved application of mechanical force, while taking the stress off your joints. Janet Travell would be pleased (we think) to have used a tool with this quality and sensitivity. TRP Tool Dimensions - L 6" x D 0.5"
Extras Included:  FDA Clean Surface Organizer Tray (compare to unsanitary foam organizers); Cordura Zipper Travel Case; Myofascial Oil & Cleaner Samples- cleaner & oil USA only, due to customs ban on shipping fluids;  45 page IASTM Technique Primer PDF Download; Free Priority Shipping in the US (Discounted $20 International Shipping).

Ordering Information

American Made Quality, from Southwest Wisconsin. We are not re-sellers of imports... we are here to support both the clinical use and our manufactures lifetime warranty (which includes free refurbishment for any reason). Before the lifetime warranty kicks in, you have a 45 day “for any reason” 100% money back return guarantee.

No Redundancy of Tools or Profiles. Myo-Bar profiles are original, individually handcrafted, and scaled to anatomy so that only one instrument is usually necessary for a given treatment area. Many competitor sets have redundant "shapes." Extra tools are a waste of money if they don't perform a unique application.

Improved Ergonomics. Myo-Bar incorporates balance points and grip features in every single product. Familiar Gua Sha and Graston profiles were terrible to grip, often slipping out of the hand or causing fatigue in the fingers.

Better Results with Superior Edge Finish. Each 304 solid stainless steel instrument is hand finished to perfection so that each edge has a micro-radius and transitions between profile features are smooth. This prevents abrasion and injury to the skin and assures maximum comfort and superior clinical results.

Clinical Support. Dr. Matthew Hajzl, designer of all the Myo-Bar profiles and soft tissue practitioner for 20 years offers a Technique Primer and is available by email or phone when you need guidance with your treatment for any reason.

Free Extras. FDA approved sanitary tray/tool organizer + 40 page PDF Technique Primer. All sets of two or more tools include Cordura® zipper case with embroidered logo. Myofascial oil & cleaner samples for domestic orders.

Matthew Perry DC, LMT

The dual edges are awesome. But mostly I love how comfortable it is to hold. These tools are extremely well crafted.

Doug Stelling

Very helpful information regarding tool purchase, use, techniques and tips.

Lynsey IASTM Practioner

Excellent quality instrument , very happy customer..:)

Byron Smith LMT

I have purchased about 6 different configurations of the Myo-Bar instruments; on selected clients with either specific fascial restrictions or ischemic soft tissue areas, I find the Myo-Bars extremely effective. One of the main advantages of using the various instruments is that feedback resonance from the medical grade stainless steel is far superior to manual feedback; the Myo-Bars also allow leverage and pressure without tiring and damaging your hands. The Myo-Bars are well made, ergonomic and effective on selected clients. The Myo-Bars were shipped with good quality, attractive, protective pouches, which has keep the instruments in good order when not in use.

Dallen

I have had other tools. They never quite felt comfortable in my hands. My wrists seemed to be at awkward angles. These tools have saved my joints and gives me the ability to get deeper is some difficult places. I love my tools!

Stephen Riley IASTM Practioner

Thanks, these bars make my job much easier as they are great quality and well made with excellent results. On every treatment clients reported excellent results.

Benjamin Muir B.Sc. Chiro. & MC

I have been using Myo-bar tools since 2011 and they have always been a pleasure to use. I've have seen them evolve, but with the constants of ergonomic design, great craftsmanship, superb customer service and value for money. They just feel great in the hand compared to their competitors and get great results clinically.

Tim

I use the longer bar quite a bit on larger muscle groups like upper traps, quads, calves and IT bands. I find this one very useful.

Odessa Torres

Better equipped for hands than Graston tools.

Myo-Bar Customer

Greater effectiveness with adhesion/scar tissue breakdown, saving my hands from some hard work.

Caly Fiallos

I prefer them to Smart Tools.

Lauren Podiatric Medicine

I feel I can offer my clients another type of treatment which can be implemented easily in their session. Clients notice an instant reduction in pain as well, which is brilliant for customer satisfaction!

Pat Bodnar LMT

I bought my first Myo-Bar hoping to rejuvenate my left thumb. I have been doing massage for decades and wear and tear have taken their toll on my longevity, my pain level, my ability to work as much as I need to. Myo-Bar self-treatments have changed my massage life... lengthening my productivity by 1 1/2 years so far and I'm not done yet. I have slowly integrated a short treatment here and there during massage... the tools get so much done with so little pressure and time. Thank you.. I am very satisfied and know that two other LMT's where I work use Myo-Bar also.
